REMINDER TO FRIENDS OF CMR

PLEASE JOIN US FOR THE CMR CELEBRATION!

By now you should have received an invitation to our Tenth Annual CMR Celebration. We are really looking forward to it, and hope you can join us.

We will meet on Thursday, October 13, at the National Guard Building’s Hall of the States in Washington D.C., One Massachusetts Ave. NW, located one block west of Union Station Metro, across the street from the Post Office Museum.

We have planned a very informative CMR Issues Briefing at 4:00 PM, which will include a panel of three female members of the military two of whom have returned from recent deployments. I know you will want to hear what they have to say. I will also give you an update on the congressional debate on women in combat, and tell you the latest about issues of concern to CMR. We will also be recognizing our special Honorees for 2005, including Human Events editors Terry Jeffrey and Tom Winter.

The CMR Celebration Reception is from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. You can make a contribution at the door ($50/person), but Please RSVP in advance. You can do that by e-mail to jennifer at cmrlink.org, or by calling Jennifer Bingham at 703/549-5553. Bring a friend!

Even if you cannot be with us in person, I hope you will make a generous contribution as a Benefector ($2,500), Patron ($1,000), Sponsor ($500), Friend ($250), or Host Committee ($150). With so many challenges ahead, it’s really important that this event be even more successful than in previous years.

You won’t want to miss this Very Special Event, which gives us the chance to talk about compelling issues, to enjoy delicious finger food and “adult beverages,” and to meet good friends of CMR from Washington D.C. and faraway states.

I am really looking forward to the CMR Celebration this year, and hope to see you there!
