Nancy Pelosi: Grrrrrllll Power
I wish I could be excited about the “first woman Speaker”. . . . but this Pelosi spectacle is about as tacky as they come.
Charles Hurt, in The Washington Times today reports that the woman “third-in-line-to-the-Presidency” (cue background huzzahs) has been exulting in her grrrl power. Publicly:
Oh-So-Powerful Woman
After calling herself “the most powerful woman in America,” Mrs. Pelosi flexed her right muscle like a weight lifter to much applause at an event yesterday titled a “women’s tea.”
“All right, let’s hear it for the power,” she screamed as the jubilant applause continued.
Can you imagine how people would react if a man behaved this way?
So why is it okay for the Pelosi to crow about being in power?
Answer: it’s not.
Where there’s braggart, there’s liar.”
Anyone — male or female — who runs around talking about how powerful they are will come to a bad end.
Guaranteed.
At least, pardon my sexism, the inauguration of Rep. Pelosi didn’t have the photo-op of a group of dumpy women trying to stride manfully into the House. All wearing various versions of the red power suit.
