The truth is actually not “always simple” – especially dealing with statist foreign and domestic policies, such as those pursued and executed by leaders such as Wilson, FDR, Truman, LBJ, Clinton, and unforutnately… George W. Bush.

Aakash, Truth is most simple in war. Victory or defeat. Our institutions survive. Or they do not.

Surrender and negotiation and truce and armistice can be nuanced — and should be pursued when a nation is losing.

However, it is not likely that the jihadists will accept any terms of surrender you may offer.

    But I could be wrong.

I will attend your funeral. I hope we can find your detached head.

    Good Luck!
